Ocean Parkway is the Deadliest Street in Brooklyn

A new study says that six deaths occurred on the Kensington road between 2009 and 2011.

Well, this is interesting. Ocean Parkway has the dubious honor of being named 2013's "deadliest street for walking" by the Tri-State Transportation Campaign.

According to the new study, six of the 132 pedestrian deaths recorded in the borough between 2009 and 2011 took place on Ocean Parkway. For an instructive visual, here's an alarmingly packed map of all the places Brooklynites have been killed while attempting to stroll down the street.

Eastern Parkway is the borough's second most dangerous road, followed by King's Highway.

According to News12, the watchdog group said streets would generally be made safer with "proper road improvements and increased traffic enforcement."
