Community Corner

Reminder: 'Green Beans Not Walgreens' Community Meeting Tonight

The community group will gather again for updates on the battle to bring fresh food back to Windsor Terrace.

Now that you've cast your vote in favor of seeing the former Key Food site turned into a Hooters/Italian consulate/drug rehab center, consider attending the next community meeting of Green Beans not Walgreens tonight at 7 p.m.

The group, dedicated to demanding a grocery store—or, at the very least, a robust grocery selection—from the future tenants at 589 Prospect Ave., will update residents on the latest news from the front lines.

Borough President Marty Markowitz, State Assemblyman Jim Brennan and Councilman Brad Lander have all been invited to attend.
