The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. Monday to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Heat indexes are expected to soar into the high 90s and 100s tomorrow and Tuesday.
The Department of Environmental Conservation advises that residents avoid strenuous activity, and those without air conditioning visit their local cooling center today and tomorrow for a respite from the heat.
