Brooklyn Artists: GO Registration Extended to July 10

Program opens studios across borough to community, who will then choose artists to participate in Brooklyn Museum exhibit.

On September 8-9, artists across Broolyn will open their studios to the community.

The public will then nominate their favorite artists to be included in a group exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum on Target First Saturday on Dec. 1.

Called GO, the community-curated art show project has the goal of empowering Brooklyn's art-loving public to vote on the work they want to see.

The deadline for artists to register was originally Friday, June 29, but due to a power outage that took down GO's website, the deadline has been extended until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10

Voter registration opens on Aug. 1.

As of June 26, 1128 artists in 67 neighborhoods around the boroughregistered, according to GO's website.

Visit the GO website to register, and for more information about the event.
