MF Gallery's Annual Halloween Art Show

When/Where: By appointment through Nov. 11. Located at MF Gallery, 213 Bond St., between Butler and Baltic streets. 

Why Go: Like the idea of gawking at ghouls without the trauma of them leaping out of dark corners? Now in its 10th year, the Halloween Art Show features spooky works from more than a dozen artists, plus a black-lit "Haunted Spookhouse."

Brooklyn Bridge Park Harvest Festival

When/Where: Saturday, Oct. 20, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pier 6, Brooklyn Bridge Park

Why Go: Shop for a pumpkin, enjoy live music, get your face painted, make cool arts and crafts, listen to storytellers and more. 

Cost: Free

Party Like It's 1999

When/Where: Friday, Oct. 19. Located at The Bell House, 149 7th St., between Second and Third avenues. 

Why Go: Rock out to your favorite '90s hits unencumbered by gallons of L.A. Looks hair gel. Unless you want to. 

Cost: Free

The Loves of Pharaoh @ BAM        

Where/When: Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m.BAM Harvey Theater, 651 Fulton St

Why Go: The silent film, The Loves of Pharaoh (1922) is resurrected at this BAM performance accompanied by an 18-piece ensemble performing a new score by Joseph C. Phillips Jr. Stay after for a post-show talk.

Cost: $25

Brooklyn Bridge Park Harvest Festival

Food Truck Rally      

Where/When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m.Grand Army Plaza GreenMarket, Grand Army Plaza

Why Go: Every third Sunday of the month through October, the NYC Food Truck Association assembles eateries from across the culinary board at Grand Army Plaza, where patrons can select from Kelvin Natural Slush Co., Kimchi Taco, Milk Truck, Mud truck, The Red Hook Lobster Pound

Cost: Free
