As of Tuesday afternoon, the salon's gates were down and brown paper covered its front door and windows. An employee at the Windsor Terrace location confirmed that the Church Avenue shop would not be reopening.
Never fear, though: Grace CC Nail Spa, and are all only a few feet away, begging the question of whether the glut of local competition was the impetus behind the store's closing in the first place. (The employee we spoke with declined to offer an explanation.)
And of course, Nails by Amy diehards can always schlep up the road to the salon's second location at 2907 Ft Hamilton Pkwy, which opened in January to immediate praise for its excellent—and reasonably priced—foot massages by the blog Brokelyn.
