Carroll Street Bridge Reopens

The Carroll Street Bridge has reopened after closing for damage repair following Hurricane Sandy.

The October hurricane damaged the bridge's steel beams, motors and electrical control console.

The bridge was originally built in 1889 and is one of the city's oldest moveable bridges, according to The New York Times.
