Check out the New Kensington Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library

Built in an 18,000 square-foot, LEED certified building complete with 24 computers, solar-powered sculptures and a community gathering space,  Kensington's new library certainly appears to have been worth the wait.

Though Superstorm Sandy delayed the new building's opening by two weeks, the new space officially opened to the public last Thursday.

Click through the photos to learn more about the amenities offered at 18th Avenue's most high-tech building.

The Kensington Library is located at 4207 18th Ave. Click here for more information on the library's features and programs.
