A shuttle to take car-less Windsor Terrace residents to Fairway Market will begin running on Wednesday.
The free shuttle, arranged by Councilman Brad Lander, D-Park Slope, can be used by residents to travel to the store's Red Hook location, where shoppers will have an hour-and-a-half to make their purchases.
While the shuttle is certainly an improvement over no supermarket access at all, residents will not have the luxury of being picky about their shopping days: The shuttle will only make pick-ups in Windsor Terrace on Wednesdays, one at 10 a.m. and one at 1 p.m.
The pick-ups will be made in front of the , located at 589 Prospect Ave.
Lander has also arranged a in order for residents with cars to help ferry their elderly and car-less neighbors to other nearby grocery stores.
