Keeping Up With Miss America

The nation's top beauty queen is all about Brooklyn this week.

Mallory Hagan, or as it says on her business cards, probably, "Miss America," has been a busy woman since she accepted the crown in January.

On Thursday, Hagan will join Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes and the Crimes Against Children Bureau in Hynes' Downtown Brooklyn office for a morning of reading stories to children, as well as filming a PSA to raise awareness for child sexual abuse.

Then on Friday, she's off to Red Hook to celebrate the re-opening of Fairway Market, which has been shuttered since Hurricane Sandy ravaged the popular grocery's interior in October.

Hagan will be attending the fete with some of the borough's other notable Fairway fans, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Borough President Marty Markowitz.

In fact, the only place it doesn't seem Miss America will actually be any time soon is home in Windsor Terrace.
