Speedy the Cat

Speedy the Cat

Sean and Charles from the Sean Casey Animal Shelter at work rescuing Speedy:

Speedy was rescued from a house in the area. She was born in the house but never handled or socialized. The people who raised her spent most of their time screaming and fighting and yelling at the cats. She grew up terrified. She had never been brushed and her long coat was severely matted and needed to be shaved. She was also suffering from a prolapsed uterus. We rescued her almost a year ago. She is now in perfect health and is now sociable and ready to be adopted.

Even if you can't adopt Speedy, consider volunteering at the shelter, drop off your old newspapers, towels, paper towels and bleach is also always welcome. If you can stop by to walk a dog some days, the best time is around noon, while the place gets cleaned. On E3rd between Fort Hamilton and Caton.
