The Early Word: The Windsor Terrace Greenmarket Opens on Sunday

What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1. What better way to unwind from Fourth of July festivities than a Twilight Tour of Prospect Park's Lullwater? On Thursday, attendees will enjoy wine and cheese on the Boathouse balcony before taking a spin through the water on an electric boat. The evening will conclude with a naturalist-led bat walk. Cost is $30 per person (cash only), and reservations are required. Click here for more information.

2. Stop by Prospect Farm on Saturday for a brief lesson in effective composting. The session will be held during the usual 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. compost drop-off hours. The farm is located at 1194 Prospect Avenue.

3. The Windsor Terrace Greenmarket—not to be confused with the Bartel-Pritchard Square Greenmarket—is opening on July 8. Mark your calendars!
