Police Arrest Tasti-D-Lite Robber

A man suspected of robbing several restaurants—including the same Park Slope Tasti-D-Lite several times—has been arrested.

A man suspected of robbing several Brooklyn restaurants and retail outlets—including the same Park Slope Tasti-D-Lite three times—has been arrested.

According to police, Robert Coston, 47, was arrested on Friday after police on Wednesday received an anonymous tip identifying him as the man who allegedly committed nearly a dozen robberies throughout October and November.

Following the tip, police determined that Coston, a Flatbush resident, had checked in at the Linden Motor Inn in Cypress Hills. Police searched the motel, and arrested Coston as he attempted to leave.

The first in the string of robberies took place around 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 17 inside the Tasti-D-Lite located at 339 7th Ave. in Park Slope.

According to police, the suspect approached his victim, demanded money and fled the scene. A similar robbery took place at the same location on Oct. 26 and again on Nov. 4.

Police reported a total of 12 incidents, including the robbery of Blue Marble Ice Cream at 196 Court St. on Oct. 22, the Subway at 216 Atlantic Ave. on Oct. 28, and the Subway at 713 Fulton St. on Oct. 30.

Coston currently faces charges for 10 of the robberies, with two additional charges pending.
