Police Search for Robbery Suspect

The suspect has stolen money from three area stores since April 1.

Police in the 66th and 72nd precincts are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a string of commercial robberies that have occurred over the past few months.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man who stands between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8 and weighs between 180 and 220 pounds.

In each instance, the suspect entered the store and demanded money from an employee while brandishing a knife. The employees each complied, and the suspect fled all three scenes with an unknown amount of cash.

The incidents took place at the following times and locations:

  • April 1 at 5:30 p.m., Harvest Grocery store, located at 4211 8th Ave.
  • April 7 at 8 p.m., Brian's Minimart, located at 4023 8th Ave. 
  • May 25 at 8:55 p.m., S&F Deli and Grocery, located at 4621 7th Ave.
