The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for New York City during the daytime hours for today and tomorrow.
An Air Quality Advisory is also in effect until 10 p.m.
The Department of Environmental Conservation advises that residents avoid strenuous activity, and those without air conditioning visit their local cooling center today and tomorrow for a respite from the heat.
