My youngest daughter was accosted by a 'flasher' on E 8th st last week. It took 45 mins for a carRead More to respond to a 911 call. When the police arrived they sat in their patrol car and called my daughter at home to come down and meet them out front. The lack of sympathy on their part was astounding. She said they were rude, disbeliveing and totally unsympathetic. I got very angry and asked if they would like their 15 year old daughter treated in that manner? They were hopeless. Does the 66 treat all victims in this manner?

Such a shame....

This group was different. Nothing will change in the mindset of the parks department unless peopleRead More speak out like they did. Volunteers actually make the problem worse because their work hides the real problem, which is bad management.

Jenny, Maggie- I agree. I definitely think that volunteers are one of the integral groups who manageRead More the park and keep it in good condition. There are many more groups like the Litter Mob, but hopefully their influence and impact will continue to grow and not become discouraged.
